It is treeless but very green in the summer, located at 2452m above sea level. Some say the name comes from the local dialect, which means cold water.

- Ziro Valley, Arunachal Pradesh:

The valley is known as a trekker’s paradise and is situated in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 6,000 feet.
The weather in Barot Valley is moderate, with an average annual temperature of 16°C. It is best to avoid visiting during the monsoon season due to heavy rainfall from the surrounding forests.
- Chembra Peak, Kerala
You don’t need to spend a lot of money or leave your family to go on a long journey to see the heart-shaped pond in Wayanad, Northern Kerala. The pond is located at the top of Chembra Peak, about 2100 meters above sea level.
The trek to the pond starts gently through tea plantations and then becomes steeper as you climb. As you walk, you can feel the mountain rising beneath your feet and your calf muscles working.
Pause, take a deep breath, and continue walking to refresh your lungs with the mountain air. As you climb, you’ll see panoramic views of the valleys in the morning air.
After about an hour of trekking, you’ll reach the heart-shaped pond nestled in a green meadow. The pond’s sight may bring tears to your eyes as it symbolizes love and beauty.
The trek to the pond is about 3 km from the base camp and is organized as a full-day package by the forest department. The best time to visit is between August and May.
